Lukas Blum ('02)
Hello, This is Lukas checking in. I hope you
have all been enjoying your lives. After graduating from Rock
County in 2002 I attended University of Wisconsin
Rock County and had a part time job at Wal-Mart.
After that I took at job as a drivers assistant for
United Van Lines. That was great and I spent over a
year travel the country by truck. America is truly
the beautiful. Another good aspect of this job is on
our time off I had lots of time to work on
composing/recording music, my true passion. I
started my first band then that included Alumni Adam
Nash ('02) on vocals. Some of you may recall the
memorable concert we played at alumni Carrie Bellards ('03) house. Anyway, after that band was
dissolved due to creative differences, I took a job
for a short time at Woodmans in Janesville, Then
moved on to my current job as a furnace operator at
Hudapack Metal Treating. I love my job and enjoy the
work I do. I now live in Milwaukee to be by my job.
I spend most of my free time now composing/recording
music with my current band, which includes Adam Nash
and one time RCCS attendee David DeRoos ('02). Other
than that, I also enjoy HP target shooting and
spending time with my family. I would love to hear
from anyone that wants to chat. My email is
Chainsawbarney@aol.com Last but not least,
Congratulations to Mr.Befus on his return to RCCS
and Hello to Mr. Mulder and Mr. Davila, I love you
guys!

MIKE JOOS, RCCS Class of 1995 (Excerpt from a letter
Aug 07--
Full Letter)
"I am eager to join the Lord where He
is already working. In April I began the application
process to serve with the Evangelical Free Church of
America International Mission (Now Reachglobal).
This week, I received an invitation to attend the
upcoming readiness evaluation event in Minneapolis,
MN.
This next step in discerning the Lord’s leading with
Reachglobal will be Sept. 23-28th. At the end of the
week would be a possible invitation to join the
mission."
Beth Courtright.
This is Mrs. Courtright (Miss Tate). We moved to
Tennessee in 1994, after teaching second grade at
RCCS for five years. I taught first grade for many
years at a Christian school in
Nashville. For the last two years, I have been
teaching second grade at United Christian Academy in
Dickson, Tennessee. Dickson is where we live and is
about thirty-five miles west of Nashville. The
strange part about teaching second grade here is
that I am teaching the same books I taught while
working in Janesville. My husband and I have two
children. Sarah just finished fourth grade and
Patrick finished K-4. They both love being at
school with me!!
Any former students can contact me at

Erin Mulder King ('96)
I went to Judson College in Elgin, IL right after
high school. I was there for one year.
I
got married in Nov. of 2007 to Joshua King. We moved
to El Paso, TX where he was stationed with the US
Army. We lived there for 1 1/2 years and I attended
the University of Texas at El Paso.
We moved back to Whitewater, WI when he got out and
we both finished our schooling at UW Whitewater.
We have three children Ezra (6), Jael (4), and
Josiah (2). We now live in Waukesha, WI. Josh works
for the New Berlin Police Department and I work for
the School District of Waukesha. We are very active
in Cornerstone Church.
Aaron Boone ('97)
I can't believe it's been nearly 10 years since I
graduated from Rock County. I seriously can't
believe it. So much has happened in my life since
then. If you would have told me then where I am now,
I certainly would not have believed you. But believe
it or not, I somehow landed in
Ohio of all places. Those of you who remembered me
would have probably thought I would have ended up
out west in the mountains somewhere or down in the
Central or South American tropics. But nope...Ohio
it is. Although, I doubt I will be here forever.
After I graduated from RCCS, I attended Bob Jones
University in South Carolina for 4 years. I pursued
a degree in biology with a chemistry minor. It was a
long 4 years at BJU but I finally graduated. One of
the most valuable experiences in college was meeting
Emily, the love of my life. We are now married and
have zero kids. Married life has been one of God's
greatest blessings and I am forever grateful that He
led us together. After graduating, I took a bit of
time off from school and traveled the country a bit
while working for various universities in research
related positions. In 2002, I was accepted into the
graduate program at Ohio State University, and I
pursued a master's degree in wildlife ecology. I
graduated in 2005, and I am currently employed
through OSU as the project coordinator of a
statewide project devoted to bird conservation. I
love my work and only the Lord can be credited for
the blessings he has given me. I am thankful to my
parents for sacrificing and giving me a Christian
education when I was younger. Many lessons learned
at RCCS and BJU have prepared me for life's road and
for that I am truly grateful.
Keep in touch!

All the way from Ireland--Alum Carrie Hoffmann-Goff
I cannot believe that it has been ten
years since I wore that red cap and gown and
received my high school diploma at RCCS. When I
think back to the girl I was then, I have to laugh.
She did not have a clue! She did have one thing
however, and that was a solid christian education. I
will always be thankful for my time at RCCS. Looking
back, I realize how much stability it offered to me
during a very turbulent time in my life. It provided
good role models and an excellent education. After
graduating from RCCS, I attended the University of
Wisconsin - Madison where I obtained my B.A. in
Political Science in 2002. While I was studying in
Madison, I met a certain Irishman. He persuaded me
to move to Ireland a year after graduation, and we
were married on
thanksgiving day 2004. Never in my wildest dreams
did I ever think my life would turn out this
way. God has really blessed me with some amazing experiences. That girl,
ten years ago, would never have dreamed up something
like this. David and I are looking forward to our
future together with excitement. We know that God
put us together and we are so thankful. We are
enjoying life. We just purchased an Irish cottage
and I have just taken over as manager of a woman's
boutique ( www.liradesigns.com ). Life is good. If
you are ever in Ireland feel free to look me up. I
will always have a cup of hot tea and a bun waiting
for a fellow RCCS student.
A Note from Pamela Mathey
After
attending RCCS from 3-11th grade, I transferred
and graduated from Hononegah in 2004. The year
after that I spent doing different jobs (Famous
Dave’s, Office Depot, Timber-lee, Goshen
Children’s Home) and did a semester at Rock
Valley College in the spring. After an insane
series of events including a music festival and
a car accident, I ended up coming to Garden
Valley, Texas to intern at Teen Mania’s Honor
Academy last August. That’s a story in itself,
really. God sure does have a way of getting you
to be where you need to be, though! I will be
graduating mid-August and returning home.
I’m not sure how long I will be in the area,
honestly. I’d like to do some time with YWAM in
the near future, but I haven’t been told when or
where yet! Really, now is just major
“decision-making”/”discovering the will of God”
time. I’m up for anything. My heart is for
teenagers, truth, and photography. :)
Please
be praying for me. I need supporters [and a new
camera ;)], as well, so anybody
who’s out there
and wants to lift a sista up!… ;) Really, I
‘need’ money- but God will provide using
whatever means He pleases. He has definitely
proven Himself in that area this year! Really,
I just need your prayers. He listens to them
and they work! God, for some reason, chose me
to be in His family, and He’s gone out of His
way to raise me in a home that loves him, I was
given the opportunity to go to a Christian
middle school and high school, then I was given
the chance to come to the Honor Academy and grow
some more, and I’ve been blessed with countless
teachers, coaches and mentors along the way who
have selflessly poured into my life, and I
refuse to believe that He’s done all that just
so I could be content with a college degree and
a normal 9-5 desk job somewhere and living in a
normal house in a normal town, going to a normal
church and doing normal people things. I just
have a “feeling” that my life is going to be
different. And how suiting, considering I’ve
always fit into the “interesting” girl category!
;) So, the prayers I need are focused around
the idea of me keeping my attention and
affections on Him and having obedience and trust
to follow Him wherever he leads me.
If you want to contact me and let me know
what’s going on in your life, I’d love to hear
from you! The best way is to email me at
blondebond16@yahoo.com.
Go,
Eagles! :)
Ps: Love those teachers—they’re incredible
people.
What's up, doc?
RCCS alum Chris Mulder talks to students about
becoming a doctor.
Mike Anema '95
After graduating from RCCS in '95, I went on to
college and ended up graduating from Trinity
Christian College in '99 with a Bachelor's degree in
Biology and a minor in Chemistry. It was at Trinity
where I met my wife Tanya (Vander Wilt). We decided
that while we were both young and mobile that we
would pull up our roots and head wherever God would
lead us. We ended up in Whitinsville, Massachusetts,
where Tanya obtained a job at Whitinsville Christian
School as an 4th Grade elementary school teacher. I
soon found a job at a small but growing
biotechnology company called TTE
Laboratories, where I quickly rose the position of
Lab Manager. At TTE we provide liquid handling
solutions to pharmaceutical companies, diagnostic
labs, biotechnology companies, and educational
institutions.
Essentially, we service and sell laboratory tools
called pipettes. If you are interested you can visit
our website pipettes.com.
We have 2 wonderful children. Dylan, who is 3, and
Allison who is 8 months old. They are truly the
apple of my eye. We have become part of a wonderful
church community here. We are members of Pleasant
Street Christian Reformed Church, where Tanya is
involved in the Sunday school programs as well as
being nursery coordinator. I have served one term as
a Deacon, help out with our Audio/Visual team, and
enjoy singing in
choir. Upon my graduation from RCCS, I never would
have guessed that I would have ended up in
Massachusetts, but God has blessed us here beyond
measure. It is amazing what God can do when we go
through the doors he opens for us.
Becca Howard (Diehl), Class of 2000
My passions in life are Family, Worship & Teens. God
is so awesome and has blessed me beyond measure!
In 2001 I married my high school
sweetheart,
Nick. Then in 2002 the Lord
brought me through a miraculous delivery of our
daughter, Kaliana. I was supposed to die from heart
failure, but God's power is alive and kickin'!
Nick and I currently serve as the Youth Leaders of
Faith Bible Church (Janesville), where I have
attended since 1984. We have seen God do awesome
things in the lives of teens and consider it a
blessing to serve God in such a fun way.
We are also both on the Worship Team. Nick plays
bass guitar and I play piano and sing, occasionally
leading. There is no experience greater than being
in the presence of God! Words cannot express the
magnitude of passion it stirs up inside my spirit!
I still have two younger brothers attending RCCS, a
sister that just graduated in 2005, and my mom is
the 3 yr. old preschool teacher. So my family is
still very involved with the school. We're at allot
of basketball games cheering our voices out... GO
EAGLES GO!!
